Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate front-end loaders to load aggregate materials into hoppers, bins, trucks, and stockpiles.
  • Maintain proper material separation to prevent contamination of aggregates.
  • Feed the asphalt plant with raw materials while maintaining consistent production flow.
  • Load customer and company trucks accurately according to weight and material specifications.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance, including checking fluid levels, lubricating equipment, and reporting mechanical issues.
  • Keep work areas, stockpiles, and loading zones clean and organized.
  • Assist with plant maintenance, cleanup, and other operational duties as assigned.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with plant personnel, truck drivers, mechanics, and supervisors.
  • Monitor material inventory and notify management when stock levels are low.
  • Operate equipment safely in varying weather and job site conditions.
  • Respond quickly to changing production demands while maintaining efficiency and safety.
  • Participate in safety meetings and required training programs.
